The sixth and final episode from Obi-Wan Kenobi season 1 starts off with Reva arriving on Tatooine, looking for a farmer named Owen. Now that they are off Jabiim, Ben Kenobi and the rest of the survivors are doing their best to escape The Empire’s grasp.

Roken tells everyone they will be arriving in Tessen once the hyperdrive is fixed, but Kenobi knows this likely will not happen. The Jedi tries to offer help, but Roken knows there is not enough time.

Obi-Wan Kenobi season 1 episode 6: Ben says goodbye to Leia

Aside, Kenobi talks with Leia about how the princess and LOLA are helping the passengers keep their nerves at ease. Something Ben could use himself.

He lets Leia and everyone else know he will be leaving so Darth Vader does not harm them anymore. Back on Tatooine, Owen and his nephew Luke arrive at a mechanics shop of some sort to get parts for their speeder.

The vendor that Reva talked to comes in and begins informing him of what transpired at the top of the episode. Owen goes home and tells his wife Beru that they need to go.

After hearing Ben’s news, Leia storms off because he is not taking her home. Once Haja talks to the young royal, the Jedi Master tries to cool things off with his little companion.

He is able to and then proceeds to give Leia the holster Tala used before going somewhere more private.

Once Kenobi gains some privacy, he begins talking to his Master saying that it all ends today, no matter if he or Vader dies. Roken comes in and tries to plea with the Jedi about not doing this, but the rebellious leader realizes this is not about the Resistance.

He bids farewell to Ben. Getting into an escape craft, Ben separates himself from the other rebels.

This leads Darth Vader to follow the smaller ship because of his tunnel vision for Kenobi. This is something the Grand Inquisitor advises against since the rebel network is within their decimation.

Obi-Wan Kenobi season 1 episode 6: Finally, Ben accepts Anakin’s fate

Down on an abandoned section of a planet, Kenobi lands and notices that Leia placed LOLA in his robe after he said he needed the droid to stop himself from becoming scared. A smirk crosses the Jedi’s face as he goes outside to greet Darth Vader before they begin dueling.

At the Skywalker’s moisture farm, Reva arrives and trips the perimeter alarm alerting Owen and Beru. Reva searches the property when Owen uses his blaster to distract her.

Reva eventually takes out Luke’s elders before chasing the young boy in the Tatooine dunes. Following a beautiful duel, Darth Vader is able to get the upper hand on his old master and buries him underneath a pile of boulders.

Partially defeated, Kenobi is able to focus his energy on Force pushing the rocks and breaking free. As clips of Luke running away from Reva play, audiences mainly see the ending scenes of Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The Jedi Master is able to get the upper hand on his former Padawan before slicing open Vader’s helmet. With this, Kenobi finally gets the chance to apologize to Anakin for everything.

But his adversary explains that Kenobi did not kill Anakin, Darth Vader did. This revelation is exactly what Obi-Wan needs to hear because now he can live on knowing his friend and former student truly is dead, with the added caveat of knowing he, himself, was not to blame for Anakin’s tragic death.

Obi-Wan Kenobi season 1 episode 6: Reva chases Luke down

Returning to Tatooine, Luke trips and falls down a cliff which leaves him perfectly situated for Reva. She finds the young boy but is unable to harm him due to when she witnessed her fellow younglings getting slaughtered by Darth Vader during Order 66.

Reva returns young Luke Skywalker to his uncle and aunt, unharmed, much to their own and Ben Kenobi’s relief. Ben consoles the emotionally conflicted and distraught Reva who is worried she is just as bad as Vader.

Kenobi explains that these events mean she chose not to and therefore is free from her old teachings. In a brief scene, Darth Vader is seen talking to Emperor Palpatine about their plans and the Sith Lord is making sure his apprentice is not letting his past life tarnish this one.

In a scene that parallels the princess getting ready in episode 1, Leia gets dressed, wearing non-traditional princess clothes this time, completed with Tala’s holster. Her mother walks in and is in love with her daughter’s ensemble.

Obi-Wan Kenobi season 1 episode 6: Ben keeps good on his promise

Leia and her mother meet Bail Organa on the landing pad. When the senator sees his daughter’s clothes, his face lights up with joy.

The two agree to change things for the better so to ensure Leia will be the best leader possible for their people.

Ben Kenobi and LOLA exit the ship, leading to a beautiful reunion between the two of them and Leia. Ben finally explains to the young princess that a lot of her best and most admirable characteristics come from her exceptional birth mother and birth father.

Leia takes solace in this but does not let this new information take away from her incredible, and just as real, adoptive parents. Later on Tatooine, Ben approaches Owen’s farm and explains that he knows now Luke is in good and capable hands with Owen and Beru protecting him.

Owen then allows Ben to meet his nephew where audiences are hit with a good old-fashioned, “Hello there” from Kenobi. Kenobi is making the trek back to his own home on Tatooine when a ghostly figure begins to appear.

Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson) turns around and explains he has always been watching over his former student, Ben has just not been ready to see him. Qui-Gon states they have much to work on, so they better get going.
