BROOKHAVEN — People gathered in the Lincoln County Civic Center Parking Lot to watch a firework show Monday night to celebrate July 4. As the rockets burst in air, people watched from their cars and families sat together in lawn chairs.
After the grand finale rang and the smoke had cleared, the Star Spangled Banner was still there. Happy birthday America.
