SEE IT: The First Official Look At RiRi Williams As Ironheart

If you’re like us, you’re probably still reeling from that incredibly emotional presentation of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever at Marvel’s Hall H panel Saturday evening. You’re probably also very excited to see who will take over the Black Panther mantle from T’Challa AND what Dominique Thorne’s Ironheart will look like when she finally gets to suit up in the film.

While we’ll have to wait until November to learn who the next Black Panther will be, thanks to The Hollywood Reporter we already have our first official look at Thorne’s RiRi Williams suited up. Early Sunday, the outlet exclusively revealed all of the Funko Pop figures that will be released alongside the film. Among them: Tenoch Huerta’s Namor and Thorne’s Ironheart.

You can check them out below!

While clearly a “Mach I” suit, as Tony Stark would refer to it, it still looks admittedly awesome. Even though it looks like RiRi will still be somewhat vulnerable, showing some skin, it appears that she’ll have the ability to fly. Assuming that the suit is made from Vibranium tech, I think she’ll be quite a force to be reckoned with against whoever the film’s true adversary is.

Additionally, the outlet revealed first looks at Namor’s associates Attuma and Namora, as well as new looks for Shuri, Okoye, M’Baku, and Queen Ramonda! You can check them out below as well.

All of the movie-themed Pops won’t hit the market until October, one month before the film is released in theaters.

Ryan Coogler will once again direct the feature with the core cast from the film also returning. Aside from Wright, confirmed cast members include Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Angela Bassett as Ramonda, Martin Freeman as Everett Ross, and Daniel Kaluuya as W’Kabi. The film will mark the debut of Dominique Thorne as the character RiRi Williams aka Ironheart.

Previous reports had listed Daniel Kaluuya as one of the cast members returning. It is unknown if his character will be revisited in the various Wakanda spin-offs in development.

Narcos: Mexico star Tenoch Huerta was finally confirmed to be playing Namor in the film at this year’s Comic-Con convention, while I May Destroy You‘s Michaela Coel has also been cast as Aneka, the Dora Milaje’s instructor.

Ironheart, which was also officially be a part of Marvel’s Phase 5 at the convention, will follow Riri Williams (Thorne), a teenage engineering genius at MIT who builds a suit based on Tony Stark’s Iron Man and dons the superhero name Ironheart. The character was created in 2016 by writers Brian Michael Bendis, and artist Mike Deodato, and later redesigned by Eve Ewing and Kevin Libranda.

Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes are directing Ironheart from a script by Chinaka Hodge (Amazing Stories), who also serves as the head writer on the six-episode first season. Zinzi Coogler, Sev Ohanian, and Black Panther director Ryan Coogler have also joined the team as executive producers alongside Kevin Feige, Louise D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, and Zoie Nagelhout.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever recently had its release date from July moved and is now set to hit theaters on November 11, 2022. Check back here at TheDisInsider.com as we continue to cover the MCU and everything at the House of Mouse.
