Stevie Nicks 2022 Phoenix concert: How to get tickets

Stevie Nicks has announced a hometown concert on her 2022 tour.

The Phoenix-born singer is coming to Ak-Chin Pavilion on Thursday, Oct. 6, with special guest Vanessa Carlton.

This is Nicks’ first solo performance in Phoenix since October 2016, when she launched the 24 Karat Gold Tour at Footprint Center, which was then called Talking Stick Resort Arena, with Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders opening.

She did swing back through with Fleetwood Mac in 2018 on their first tour since parting ways with Lindsey Buckingham, whose place was taken by Tom Petty’s right-hand man, Mike Campbell, and Neil Finn of Crowded House.

In 2019, Nicks became the first woman to be inducted a second time to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This is her first performance in the Valley since being inducted as a solo artist, having previously been inducted for her work with Fleetwood Mac.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2022, at livenation.com and ticketmaster.com.

Ticketmaster lists a presale as starting at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 22.

This announcement arrives less than a week after Nicks’ life became the subject of a comic book, “Female Force: Stevie Nicks.”

Stevie Nicks’ connection to Phoenix

Nicks was born at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix to Jess and Barbara Nicks on May 26, 1948.

She never went to school here, though. Her father, an executive at the Armour-Dial Greyhound Corp., was always on the move, and she grew up in Phoenix, Albuquerque, El Paso, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

In 1981, Nicks built a home near her parents in Paradise Valley, sharing the house with her brother Chris; his wife, Lori; and their daughter, Jessica, and writing many songs while living there.
