Geoff Keighley first revealed “Nightingale,” a survival-crafting game set in this Victorian fantasy world, at the 2021 Game Awards. On Thursday, the studio behind the game, Inflexion Games, gave curious fans a closer look.
The premise, like all survival games, is simple: You’re stranded. But, in “Nightingale,” you appear to be all alone because you’re stuck between realms after the sudden collapse of a network of portals. In the Summer Game Fest trailer, a narrator explained a bit more behind the game’s card system, which will allow you to activate portals to travel through. After that, fans were left with a few brief glimpses at some of the settings in the game, which show how players will be able to gather resources and build their camps over time.
The trailer didn’t include a release date or what consoles the game will be available on.
