She hits it off with Suzanne’s friend as well and nudges her to get things going with the flirting bartender. He is Kai’s friend, thus Suzanne is hesitant to meet up with his son’s friend.

But after a quick makeout with Claire, in front of her ex-husband, she musters up the courage and goes to the bartender. But what she got to know from the small talk, shocks her. Apparently, Kai has done 23 & Me testing and through that, he has been able to trace his biological father, whose identity even Suzanne doesn’t know about.

After coming back from the ski trip with a big scar on his face, Michael prepares to face Colin & his new partner at the wedding of the Jonathans. Suzanne heads over to Michael’s to cover up his bruises with makeup. They also received their commission from the sale of Claire’s apartment finally and Michael wants to use the cheque to buy out Colin’s half of the apartment, and fully own the home.

At the wedding, Billy comes with his new fling Wyatt, which seems to hit it off quite well, whilst Stanley announces that he has stage one breast cancer. The group is stunned by the news and Michael is asked to come to the doctor with Stanley. He also spots Colin with a man (presumably new partner) and rambles out everything in his introduction to them.

This turns out to be a big misunderstanding, as the man with Colin is somebody else and has come with his wife. Also, the hot architect turns out to be just a friend and not Colin’s partner. It embarrass Michael but he feels relieved as well. During the wedding, the mother of the groom makes an awkward toast, where she thanks Colin and Michael for their break-up, which inspired the Jonathans to marry.

Michael talks to Colin about buying out his half but Colin doesn’t answer anything and says that he will have to think about it financially. Suzanne gets angry with his response and tells him to do the right thing and give Michael the flat, as a way of making amends. The ex-couple even has a slow dance moment where Colin agrees to sell his half.

Meanwhile, Billy’s date doesn’t go so well as Wyatt catches him exchanging numbers with the waiter at the wedding (an ex-hook-up) and he leaves, calling Billy a shallow narcissist. When Michael comes back to his apartment, he is startled by Colin being there and says that he thinks he made a mistake.

After the wedding, Michael had gotten somewhat of closure and finally accepted his breakup but Colin’s confession puts him back to square one. It’s all he wanted at first, but now too much has happened. Will he accept him back or not we don’t get to know but Michael is definitely stunned.

And in Suzanne’s part, Kai tells her that he won’t be meeting up with his father at the designated place (L’Express) as she is all he needs. She is happy to know but with the curiosity to know who the father could be, Suzanne ends up going to the place instead of Kai. While we don’t see the face of the person but it definitely is a shocker for her as well.

Has Netflix Renewed the Show For Uncoupled Season 2?

The show has just been released and as of now, Netflix or the creators haven’t announced anything about renewing it for season 2. It could be too soon to tell but considering the cliffhanger endings, another season is a big possibility. If there will be another season, we might be able to see who the mystery father is, and could play Suzanne’s love interest as well.

Also, we might get closure on the relationship status of Michael and Colin, whether they are back together or amiably discussed to go on their separate ways. And with Claire being the new neighbour in the building, we might see some actual friendship bubbling up between her and Michael.

Uncoupled is streaming on Netflix.
